Magdelena joining Erin Bailey Law is more like a long-overdue reunion than welcoming a new hire. Magdalena and Erin met back in 2008, fresh into their careers at the Solicitor’s Office. They cut their teeth in General Sessions together — long days, high-pressure cases, and the kind of work that forges fast respect. Even after life and careers pulled them into different counties and caseloads, they stayed in touch. When the timing finally aligned, it was an easy yes on both sides.
Magdalena brings more than 15 years of criminal law experience to the firm, with a career built inside some of the most challenging courtrooms. After earning her Paralegal Studies degree from Champlain College, she moved from Vermont to South Carolina in 2007 and began working in the Solicitor’s Office the following year. She spent nearly a decade in General Sessions, then transferred to Horry County where she focused on some of the most complex and high-stakes matters on the docket including sex crimes, high-profile child abuse, and murder cases.
She was involved in more trials than any other administrative team member or legal assistant in her former office, earning a reputation for being the person who always knows the file.
Steady when the stakes are high, Magdalena has the honed skills to dive into a case, map every piece of discovery, and immediately spot what’s missing — an instinct sharpened by years of supporting prosecutors and trial lawyers in the toughest rooms. She cares deeply about preparation, outcomes, and ensuring whomever she supports walks into court fully ready for whatever comes next.
